Any parent knows that looking after a toddler is a full-time job, and they can get up to all sorts of mischief if you turn your back for a second. A mom from the UK was recently reminded of this and got a nasty surprise when she caught her 1-year-old child eating the ashes of her late father.

According to a report by ABP Live, Natasha Emeny briefly walked out of the room to put some clothes away. In that time, her 1-year-old son Koah found an urn containing her late father's ashes and helped himself to the contents. In a video, which has now gone viral with over 13 million views, Emery exclaims, "When your son eats your dad!"
The brief clip pans over to the urn on the tabletop, the lid missing, with ashes all over the surface. Koah managed to cover the couch and floor in ashes, too. Even the tot's bright orange t-shirt looks worse for wear. "His ashes, my son has eaten my dad's ashes!" she despairs as her oblivious toddler walks around with ash around his mouth.
Is The Toddler OK After Eating Ashes?
While ash doesn't strike me as the most appetizing household substance, it's been a while since I was a toddler. Per ABP News, Emeny spoke with doctors who told her to "give him water, and he'll be fine."
In a separate video, Natasha answered a few questions from the comments section of her viral footage. She explains that she usually placed the urn higher up, but her son had shown no interest in it before, even when it was within grabbing range. Emeny also doesn't think he ingested much of it. "He's obviously tasted it and spat it out and played with it," she explained.
Curiously enough, a pair of tots with refined palettes went viral earlier this year for feasting on their grandfather's ashes while their mother went to the loo. Monika Long addressed the camera, holding up an empty cross-shaped bottle, saying, "They got Paw Paw."
"They got him, and they dumped him out all over my carpet, and I didn't realize it was Paw Paw, and I vacuumed him up," she explained. "Ahhh! They may have eaten some of it, too!"In a later video, she asks, "Would he have found this story funny? Absolutely. He would have definitely gotten a kick out of this whole ordeal."
