Now that the modern era is well and truly upon us, the success of an artist isn't measured in vinyl sales and TV appearances. It's all about the online side of things these days. Think Spotify streaming numbers, social media trending tabs, that sort of thing.
And Morgan Wallen has just hit a pretty big one. As reported by Whiskey Riff, he's just passed 30 billion streams on Spotify. And he's the first country artist ever to do so. And, even crazier, he's in a pretty exclusive group—he's one of 53 artists to ever cross this threshold.
Let that sink in really quick. People have sat down to listen to a Morgan Wallen song 30 billion times. And that isn't even the best part.
He's been having an absolutely amazing stretch at the moment. 2025 was probably the best year any musician could hope to have. He also dethroned Garth Brooks for the accolade of being the highest-selling country artist of all time.
His streaming numbers last year were just as insane. His album I'm The Problem hit #1 on both Apple Music globally and Spotify in the U.S. He was also named Billboard's Top Artist of the Year, being only the second male country artist to do so.

In Case You're Wondering, Other Country Artists Are Lagging Behind Morgan Wallen
Other country artists are nowhere near Morgan Wallen's achievements in terms of streaming. The second closest is Zach Bryan, who is currently sporting 18.98 billion streams as of May 16. Luke Combs also has 18.44 billion streams.
But, after that, things fall off quite quickly. Chris Stapleton sits in fourth at 11.34 billion, while Florida Georgia Line has 9.75 billion.
This is because Morgan Wallen is sitting on a healthy 12 million streams a day, on average—no wonder he hit this milestone before anyone else. All of his 10 most-streamed Spotify songs have already crossed the 750-million mark.
And all this comes as his song "Wasted On You" is approaching one billion views in its own right.
Good job, Morgan Wallen! Here's hoping this streak of doing great continues.
