Morgan Wallen Flips His Piano Amid Technical Difficulties During Emotional Performance

Morgan Wallen was in the middle of an emotional rendition of a song when his piano started acting up. Fans loved what happened next.

Performing live must be one of the most satisfying things ever. Looking out to a crowd that's there just for you. The sheer number of people who paid money and traveled far and wide to come and listen to stuff you made—doesn't that just sound great?

So, of course, you want to do good by them and put on a good show. Morgan Wallen's no exception to that. He's always doing crazy stuff on his tours—whether it's his iconic walkouts, or having other country artists play hilarious pranks on him.

But his performances can also get really quite serious. And he wants them to go perfectly (who wouldn't?). So, when technical difficulties happened at his show at Empower Field at Mile High on Friday, May 29, he understandably got a little frustrated.

According to Billboard, Morgan Wallen was sitting at his piano to perform his iconic song "Sand In My Boots" when the technical issues started. He apparently couldn't hear the piano properly—not ideal when you're singing alongside it.

So, midway through the performance, he threw himself up from the piano and just started blasting the song a cappella. After finishing his heartfelt performance, he went back over to the piano and flipped it in triumph.

Fans Really Appreciated This Morgan Wallen Moment

Fans really seemed to resonate with Morgan Wallen on this one. They really enjoyed the a cappella performance!

One commenter wrote on a post of the moment, "No piano needed...give it up!! Sound better without it!!", with another writing, "Imagine he's giving us this beautiful Acapella solo and all he's thinking about is pushing that pos piano over." I certainly don't blame him for that, though—that moment must have been so frustrating for him.

Others seemed to comment about the piano itself. One person wrote, "How embarrassing for the piano I hope it doesn't sue." Another person mentioned that someone may have been backstage "panicking" that they didn't set the piano up right.

Well, Morgan Wallen had a second show at the Empower Field on Saturday, May 30, and we haven't heard of any issues there—so hopefully that show went a little better!
