Morgan Wallen Finally Breaks Silence On CMA Entertainer Of The Year Win

Morgan Wallen has finally broken his silence on winning Entertainer of the Year at the 2024 CMA Awards in a roundabout way. Wallen posted a series of photos on Instagram, captioning it "lil this lil that," showing snapshots of life over the past few months.

Included in the photos was photos of him in the studio, hunting, enjoying time on the water, and his Entertainer of the Year trophy. Wallen won the award, the night's highest honor, in November. He was not present to accept the trophy, nor did he comment about his massive win in the immediate aftermath.

Wallen was up against Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson in the Entertainer of the Year category. Wilson won the award in 2023. Wallen has a total of 15 CMA Awards nominations, with two wins to his credit. Wallen's last CMA Awards win was for New Artist of the Year in 2020.

While fans were mixed about if Wallen deserved the trophy, one of the show's hosts, Luke Bryan, said he deserves the recognition.

"When I look at what Morgan Wallen's doing out there, selling out multiple [stadiums]," Bryan reflects to Billboard. "And I know Luke Combs is doing that too, and obviously, they're just both great entertainers. I don't know who to sit there and put my endorsement on, but I have just been in awe watching Morgan Wallen go from being on some of my stadium tours and hanging on the bus with me, to watching him just really put up Garth Brooks-like stadium shows, has been pretty incredible."

"I'm The Problem"

Wallen's career continues to soar to new heights. The 31-year-old just broke a Brooks' record, with 174 weeks at the top of  Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.

He's back in the Top 10 with "I'm The Problem." The song is the title track of Wallen's next album, as well as his massive tour.

"I'm The Problem Tour 2025," Wallen announced when sharing a clip of the song. "Can't wait for this one ... This tour is named after my new album that I am still working on - I'm The Problem. Excited to tell y'all more about it soon."

The I'm The Problem Tour, which begins in June, includes  Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Koe Wetzel as Wallen's list of opening acts.
