A mother in Australia is facing charges after taking her defensive motherhood a little too far. After finding out her daughter had been repeatedly bullied, the mother lost her cool. After one particular incident, her daughter had been told by her bully to kill herself. This was too much for the mother.

"I don't want my daughter to be another statistic. I don't want to have to bury my child," the mother said. "That is a breaking point for any parent ... I went into survival mode and protective mode"

Teen suicide is a real and terrifying thing for parents. The fear of her daughter being pushed to the edge was the final straw. Footage from the 8th-grade classroom shows the violent altercation.

"You ever f—king mess with my daughter again I'll slit your f—king throat," she screams at her daughter's bully. The outburst, probably understandable by many parents of bullied children, was unacceptable according to the law.

Mother Pushed To Breaking Point To Appear In Court

The mother is now facing charges for her violent outburst with her daughter's bully. South Australia Premier Peter Malinauskas has deemed it a crime. "I don't know what the circumstances were that led the parent to say those things, but whatever they were, they do not condone or justify those remarks in any circumstance whatsoever," he said.

But, the unnamed mother has defended her actions. As she states, she and her partner had done everything they could to protect their daughter from the bully. But, they still had to send their child to school and felt defenseless.

Her outburst was overly violent considering she was talking to a child, but it was the last resort for the panicked and defensive mother. "I have stated time and time again to the school that we are begging. We begged for help. We begged."

As a last resort, and feeling she had no other option, the mother did the only thing she felt she could. Her temper got the better of her, and she acted with her heart rather than her head. Hopefully, her words got through to her daughter's bully at the very least.
