Per a report by Fox 59, Latea Hentz, 36, and her 17-year-old daughter got on the school bus with her son. Footage of the altercation that followed went viral on social media after hundreds of thousands of viewers watched it.

The shocking video shows a woman grabbing a student by the hair and repeatedly punching him in the face. The two other family members appear to join in and pummel the teenager. One even starts hurling insults across the bus. One reportedly shouted, "I'm tired of you ***** *** kids. Anybody want to get active?"

The video reportedly shows Hentz's son shaking hands with other students as he leaves the bus. Warren Township School police were notified of the situation at around 9 AM and asked Hentz to explain what happened. She allegedly told officers that she informed the school of the situation, but they didn't intervene.

The outlet explains that Hentz admitted that she got on the bus with her daughter as the alleged bully reportedly slapped her son the day before. According to the 14-year-old, she sometimes joked about Hentz's son but never physically hurt him.

The 14-Year-Old Suffered A Fractured Nose

According to a report by the New York Post, authorities took the 14-year-old to Riley Children's Hospital. He was diagnosed with a fractured nose, and his left eye was bruised and swollen. Per Fox 59, Prosecutor Ryan Mears had some choice words about the incident.

"When parents make the decision to get on a school bus, when they have no business being on a school bus, you can either serve as a peacekeeper or make the situation 20-30 times worse." He added "For us as adults, we're supposed to create a safe environment for kids and kids should feel safe on a school bus. That was taken away from a lot of kids based of what is alleged to have occurred."

Police are charging Hentz with Criminal Confinement, Intimidation, Criminal Trespass, and Battery resulting in Moderate Injury. An investigation into the incident on the bus remains ongoing.
