Mom Allegedly Shot Dead By Husband After Amber Alert Reports 4-Year-Old Daughter Abduction

An Amber Alert was issued after Seraphine Gingles was allegedly abducted by her father, Nathan Gingles. They previously found Seraphine's grandfather, David Pozner, dead on Seraphine's mother's patio. While police found Seraphine, the mother, Mary Gingles, was later found dead alongside her neighbor, Andrew Ferrin, in Ferrin's house, allegedly killed by Mary's estranged husband, Nathan.

According to the Miami Herald, police responded to a shooting report at a Tamarac home, Mary Gingles's home. Ponzer was found dead on the patio, and deputies later found out that Seraphine was missing. An Amber Alert was issued for Seraphine Gingles, mentioning a possible abduction.

During Seraphine's search, unfortunately, deputies found Mary Gingles and Andrew Ferrin's bodies inside Ferrin's house. They both had been shot dead. According to Local 10, a neighbor theorized based on footprints that Mary Gingles had been pleading for help across the neighborhood, fearing for her life.

Eventually, authorities located Seraphine at a North Lauderdale Walmart without harm. They had spotted Nathan Gingles's vehicle, a silver BMW X3. Nathan was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree murder, one count of violating a protective order, and one count of interfering with custody, according to PEOPLE.

Fearful For Her Life

The Miami Herald reported on some troubling revelations regarding Mary Shingles and her estranged husband, Nathan. According to documents filed by Mary, she continuously feared for both her and her daughter's lives. She was granted a domestic violence restraining order against Nathan on December 30, 2024.

"With Nathan's violent history, his flagrant disregard for rules or laws, and his telling our daughter that he is going to kill me, I am fearful for my life," Mary wrote in her filing. "He has already taken steps to prepare to murder me, but is waiting for the opportune time."

Reportedly, Mary had previously found items such as gloves, restraints, plastic, and wrap, among others inside a bag belonging to Nathan. Mary further alleged that Nathan had placed a tracker in her vehicle and tampered with her security camera.

This is not the first time she has filed a petition against Nathan. Back in February 2024, Mary stated that she lived "in constant fear" of Nathan. She alleged Nathan isolated her, kept both her and her daughter's legal documents, and changed their online passwords.

"Because of Nathan's psychotic behavior, his multiple threats, his drug use, his multiple/many silenced firearms, and my impending divorce action, I am afraid Nathan will kill me and my daughter," Mary added in the filing.
