Mo Pitney Announces New Album, ‘Behind This Guitar’

Curb Records

Finally! Country up-and-comer Mo Pitney just announced his debut album, Behind This Guitar comes out Friday, Oct. 7. So mark your calendars!

In an interview with Wide Open Country earlier this year, the traditionally-tinged Pitney shared he’s  been working on the follow-up for awhile.

Behind This Guitar features twelve tunes, 10 of which Pitney co-wrote with some excellent Nashville writers. Will Nance, Dean Dillon and Don Sampson all make multiple appearances alongside classic hitmakers like Byron Hill.

In a nod to his immense faith and country records of old, Mo Pitney ends the album with a gospel tune called “Give Me Jesus.”

Fans who pre-order the record get three songs immediately, including his new single, “Everywhere.” They’ll also get his previously released tracks “Country” and “Boy & a Girl Thing.”

Pitney is one of the most promising young songwriters in country music. His debut release on Curb Records should make the singer a bunch of new fans. Of course, quite a few people are already hip to Pitney after hearing “Boy & a Girl Thing” on the radio or seeing his phenomenal Grand Ole Opry performance.

Pre-order the album on iTunes now.
