Bryce Harper recently found himself going viral and receiving some backlash along the way. The Philadelphia Phillies right fielder recently posted a "Get Ready With Me" video to his TikTok account. During that video, he showed his unique way of brushing his teeth, which certainly caught people's attention.

Instead of squeezing the toothpaste onto the toothbrush, Harper opted to squeeze the toothpaste straight into his mouth. Then he used the brush to begin cleaning his teeth. Honestly, I don't think I'd ever seen someone do it that way before.
Despite his unique brushing technique, the video earned him some non-stop ribbing from his followers, and anyone else that the algorithm decided to show the video to.
"I mean, it's gone viral, so I'm happy about that," Harper told Phillies Nation. "It always helps with my videos when it goes viral, so if that's what makes it go viral, then I'll take it. It kind of happens when you post a little bit, right?"
Look, there's nothing wrong with Harper's way of brushing his teeth. It's just that it's so different from what most of us do that the video itself was sort of jarring, in a funny way. In fact, his method was so perculiar that the San Diego Padres decided to have some fun at Harper's expense.
During a recent game, the MLB team wrote, "SQUIRTS TOOTHPASTE INTO HIS MOUTH INSTEAD OF ONTO A TOOTHBRUSH WHEN BRUSHING HIS TEETH," onto the scoreboard as Harper walked up to the plate.

Harper has been in the MLB since 2012. He was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the first round of the 2010 MLB June Amateur Draft. He spent seven seasons with the franchise before moving to the Phillies in 2019.
During his time with both the Nationals and the Phillies, Harper has won two MVP awards. The first came in 2015 with Washington and the second came in 2021 with Philadelphia. He's also been selected to eight All-Star games in his 15-year career.
However, despite all of his success on the field, it's hard to imagine he's ever had this much pushback from the public. Who would have thought that the way you brush your teeth could be so divisive?
