'AGT': Mitch Rossell Called the 'Real Deal' After Performance of Original Song

Howie Mandel hears a hit in "All I Need to See."

Seasoned country singer-songwriter Mitch Rossell earned more high praise from America's Got Talent (AGT) judges on Tuesday (Aug. 22) with original song "All I Need to See."

"Mitch, you sing with such emotion," Sofia Vergara said. "I mean that was such a catchy, romantic song. I think you're the perfect, perfect talent that America is gonna fall in love with."

The rest of the panel applauded Rossell, with Simon Cowell calling him "the real deal," Heidi Klum declaring him "radio ready" and Howie Mandel predicting that "All I Need to See" will become a No. 1 country hit.

The performance landed Rossell a third-place finish for the night. Unfortunately for him, only the evening's top two —Lavender Darcangelo and Adrian and Hurricane— moved on to the next round.

"It didn't go our way tonight, but it's definitely all good y'all!" Rossell shared the following day on social media. "I'm honestly overwhelmed and floored by the love y'all always pour out on me and this music I make. From the very bottom of my heart, thank you so much. You keep me going! This was a great chapter and a lot of fun, now I'm excited to see what God has in store. "

Like Chapel Hart and other AGT standouts before him, 35-year-old Rossell is hardly new to the country music space. His discography on Spotify stretches back to the 2011 song "Prayin' It Don't Rain" and includes the 2016 album Raised By the Radio. He's amassed over 76K Instagram followers. Earlier this year, he played "Son" onstage during his Grand Ole Opry debut.

As a songwriter, Rossell has gained acclaim through cuts by Garth Brooks, including "Ask Me How I Know," "That's What Cowboys Do," "All Day Long" and "Dive Bar."

The future may be even brighter for Rossell. He just signed a record deal with Dreamcatcher Artists, and "All I Need to See" is impacting country radio while amassing over 30 million global streams.
