Sometimes a minor neighborhood dispute can escalate into a horrible tragedy. That was allegedly what took place in House Springs, Missouri, on the evening of July 25. Per the New York Post, "Jessica Lashly, 38, and Jersey Greer, 17, were gunned down at their...home when 73-year-old Robert Winkelman confronted the pair...." He was reportedly upset about "activities at the residence." Winkelman allegedly shot Lashly in the head. Her daughter, Jersey, then desperately tried to help her stricken mom. However, when the girl did so, Winkelman also allegedly shot her in the head as well.

When police arrived, Winkelman reportedly turned the gun on himself. He shot himself in the head and subsequently died on August 2, per a post on

Per KSDK, Justice Greer, Jersey's grieving twin sister, reminisced somberly about her beloved family members. Justice shared, "[Jersey] was literally just the funniest person ever. She could make anybody laugh...She could always tell when someone was sad or needed uplifting, and she was always the one to do it."
The two young sisters were very closely bonded. That makes the tragic death of Jersey Greer even more heartbreaking. Justice continued, "Literally, like, inseparable. I don't even know how to live without her. We did everything together."
Justice cannot help but dwell on the awful events of her mom's and sister's shocking final day. "Jersey's last moments, she was trying to save my mom. It just shows how brave she is, and I hope I can be half as brave as she is."
Jessica Lashly's Sister Reflected on Her Life and Personality
Per the outlet, Lindsey Oberkramer, the sister of Jessica Lashly, looked back at the life of her dear sister. She was clearly a special person. "You never really knew what she was going to say, but she always had the right thing to say," Oberkramer observed. "She loved fiercely. Everybody knew how she felt about them and it wsa usually just love and support."
The Bleak Aftermath of an Unthinkable Act
According to KSDK, the organs of Jessica Lashly and Justice Greer were donated after they died. They are being fondly remembered as two extraordinary women. They both will always be loved and cherished by those whose lives they touched.
