Marcus Freiberger, 45, the beloved Arizona yoga instructor who went missing after attending a reported blind date, was found dead one month after his disappearance. Freiberger, who was last seen on February 21, was identified by the local medical examiner.

According to AZFamily, Freiberger's body was found at a rocky area located near 15th Avenue and Broadway Road on March 19, approximately four miles from his last known location. According to his father, Dutch Freiberger, and reported by Fox 10, Freiberger's last known location was a parking garage near 2nd Avenue and Van Buren Street. He had gone on a blind date at the time of his disappearance.
The Maricopa County Office of the Medical Examiner was able to identify the body days later, on March 24. As per one of Freiberger's close friends, his body was able to be identified through fingerprints obtained via the FBI. Currently, his cause of death is unknown, and police stated, as per AZFamily, that his case is being handled as a death investigation.
Family Mourns
The family of Marcus Freiberger released a statement confirming Freiberger's tragic death.
"It is with a heavy heart that I share the tragic news that Marcus is no longer with us. Losing him feels like losing a part of ourselves and I know this will be just as difficult for you," Tina Hall wrote on Facebook. "We thank all of you for the love and support you have given Marcus and our family."
Many of Freiberger's loved ones are now looking for answers amid their grief over his death. "I think we're just at a loss for words because we don't know," Freiberger's friend, Amber, told AZFamily. "We can't. We're thinking of all these scenarios, and we just have no idea what happened."
Freiberger's father, Dutch, also referred to as Rodger Freiberger, told AZCentral that the family is working alongside police to find out what happened to Marcus.
"We just want to know what happened. Marcus was a great kid. He was truly loved by a lot of people. The amount of shares on Facebook on his missing person's report. If you go and read the comments, it's amazing how many people knew Marcus," Dutch said. "I don't know if he had any issues going on, not sure what led to the disappearance. It's very strange. Hopefully they'll investigate and come up with something."
