"Mrs. Shelton" introduced the music video for her sassy hit "Little Red Wagon" this morning.
Miranda Lambert introduced the music video for her single "Little Red Wagon" the third single from her 2014 album Platinum, and the video does not disappoint. It depicts the blonde bombshell songstress in her "big sunglasses" and her Tony Lamas, pulling up to a motel with an adorable canine sidekick. Lambert also sports a rhinestone belt with "Mrs. Shelton" emblazoned on the back.
The video was shot in Lancaster, California three days before her performance at the Grammys in February. The song is co-written by singer-songwriter Audra Mae, the great great niece of Judy Garland, and Mae also sings backup vocals on the track. Lambert talked about her collaboration with Mae in an interview with ET.
"I kind of tracked her down a little bit in a stalker way because I was obsessed with her music and met her and we became friends," said Lambert. "I asked her if I could record her song and she said, 'Absolutely!' and she actually sang background on the record."
The "Little Red Wagon" music video is the latest release by Lambert in her longtime partnership with Trey Fanjoy, who also directed the videos for her hits "Automatic" and "Somethin' Bad," the first and second singles released from the Platinum album, which recently won the Best Country Album Grammy.
