Miranda Lambert Is Selling Her Childhood Home in Massive Estate Sale

One of Miranda Lambert's most poignant songs is "The House That Built Me." It's filled with touching references to the narrator's beloved childhood home and how much it meant to her. That dwelling shaped her into the woman she became. In real life the house that built Miranda Lambert is now for sale. It's her childhood residence that is part of the family compound in Lindale, Texas. The lavish 24-acre spread can be yours for a tad less than $1.6 million.

The Ties That Lambert Has to the Home

Per Mansion Global, Lee Trowbridge of Compass is the person who "brought the property to the market" last month. He said that the "Kerosene" singer has deep personal connections to the estate. She "lived in the 'big house' from the age of 14 [until she was] 21." He added, "The pink house was purchased after she signed her record deal when she was 21." The pink house is still Miranda Lambert's.

Trowbridge explained, "Until their transition out of the home about a year ago, the property served as the Lambert family home. During their time living there, the property was a home to many, including those who needed a helping hand, or a place to land."

How Much of a Difference Does the Property's Connection With Someone Famous Make?

A property that was owned by a famous individual like Miranda Lambert may boast some added cachet. But Lee Trowbridge downplays that aspect. "Celebrity pedigree can drive visibility and trophy status, sometimes accelerating a sale and even adding an emotional premium in some cases." Nevertheless, Trowbridge feels that "the home's intrinsic quality" is what secures a sale.

Architectural details, the floor plan, impressive features like a pool or patio for outdoor entertaining - all these and other qualities of a home are what persuade a buyer to sign on the dotted line.

The Compound's Notable Selling Points

Mansion Global mentions a few of the compound's unusual and appealing aspects. It has a spacious shooting range, an outdoor kitchen, and a brick courtyard. Lee Trowbridge summed up the property's allure nicely.

"This property's biggest draw is its blend of country music history and its massive 2,500 square feet of outdoor living space. Between the vintage interior character and the practical additions like the shop and shooting range, the property offers a rare mix of cool factor and functional country living."
