Miranda Lambert Hints at New Pistol Annies Music

Miranda Lambert recently teased new Pistol Annies music in an Instagram post. The country star shared a picture of some pool time fun. But the hash tags captured the attention of fans more than anything.

Lambert shared the picture of herself floating in an inflatable unicorn pool toy. A retro camper and a plastic flamingo make an appearance in the background. The jubilant Lambert tagged the picture "Feelin' floaty." She also added hash tags that read, "Pistol Annies," "work play" and "we were writing I promise." And she tagged her band mate Ashely Monroe.

The Pistol Annies most recently appeared on a Don Williams tribute album with a cover of "Tulsa Time." They also briefly reunited on stage during one of Lambert's concerts. But they haven't delivered new original music as a trio in five years.

However, Lambert, Monroe and Angaleena Presley all released solo projects since then. In fact, Lambert, Monroe and Presley all released two solo albums since Pistol Annies' last record, 2013's Annie Up.

Lambert recently claimed a Pistol Annies album is in the works for 2018. And she's hinted that at least one song is done. But given we're already almost halfway into 2018, don't get your hopes up for a new record just yet.
