Miles Teller felt the need...the need for speed style on the red carpet at the 95th Academy Awards. The Top Gun: Maverick star dressed to impress for Hollywood's biggest night, wearing a sleek black tuxedo that was a major upgrade from the tank tops and aviators he sported in the film.

Missing from his look, however, was the iconic mustache that made Teller an internet sensation after the Top Gun sequel was released. His '80s-inspired facial hair earned the actor a lot of attention on TikTok from fans who couldn't get enough of his character's signature 'stache. There was one woman, however, who was desperate to see Teller's upper lip accessory make its final debut: his wife.
"She was on a calendar, crossing off days until she could shave it," Teller joked in an interview last summer. The couple must have reached a compromise ahead of the Oscars, because he opted to carve out a scruffy goatee before showing up to the event with Keleigh Sperry by his side.

Envious fans deemed Teller and Sperry "couple goals" after their charming Super Bowl commercial was released earlier this year, seemingly offering a behind-the-scenes look at their fun-loving relationship. The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, exceeded everyone's real-life expectations as they posed side by side on the Oscars red carpet.
