Midland Announces Debut Album 'On The Rocks'

The Texas-based trio has been turning heads since the release of their first single "Drinking Problem." Their throwback sound and style, inspired by the country music of the 70's and 80's, has been a refreshing change in the format.

Look no further than the new album's cover art for a snapshot of their retro-inspired attitude. The band's name is emblazoned in a 70's-esque, two-tone font, while members Jess Carson, Mark Wystrach and Cameron Duddy give their best Urban Cowboy poses in custom Nudie suits, the epitome of country glamour.

On The Rocks drops Sept. 22.

All signs point to a big year ahead for Midland in 2018. "Drinking Problem" is currently riding at No. 8 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. They've scored a handful of supporting act slots on high-profile shows this year, and they've begun making appearances on the mainstream country music award shows. With the release of On The Rocks, expect to start seeing more of these fellas in the mainstream of country music come 2018.

Band members Carson, Wystrach and Duddy co-wrote the album's 13 songs with some of country music's heaviest hitters. Songwriters Shane McAnally, Luke Laird, Josh Osborne, Rhett Akins, David Lee Murphy and Johnathan Singleton all have credits on the record.

On the Rocks is currently available for preorder.
