Metaphor or AI? Zac Brown Has Six Fingers on Cover of New Snoop Dogg Collab

It's been a week for the Zac Brown Band.

Last week, the group cleared out its social feeds and posted a video announcing its "next chapter."

"We've played thousands of shows, crossed countless state lines, and seen every kind of weather and welcome you could imagine," begins the caption. "Whether you saw us when we were playing covers in Georgia dive bars or you just found us on your drive home last month... You've been a part of this journey. You've sung the words, screamed the choruses, cried with us, danced with us, and let this music into your life. That kind of connection is not lost on us. It never will be.

"From every hand we shook, every sign we saw in the crowd, every voice lifted back to us from the front row to the lawn, we felt your love. And we gave it right back, night after night.

"This isn't goodbye. It's a thank you. A reflection."

The New Chapter Is a New Album and Single

The band followed up its previous announcement today by announcing its new album, 'Love & Fear,' which is expected to be released on December 5, 2025. It was accompanied by artwork obviously inspired by a fantasy novel. It will feature collaborations with Marcus King and Dolly Parton.

" data-instgrm-version="14" style=" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);">

However, it's the Zac Brown's partnership with Snoop Dogg, the single "Let It Run," that has people scratching their heads.

It's not the actual song, which will be released this Friday, July 18, that's making headlines. Nor is it Brown's alliance with Snoop Dogg, either. It's the oddly designed cover that has fans looking twice.

How Many Fingers Is That?

Scroll to the second image of the Instagram post. Comparatively, the 'Love & Fear' artwork appears to be handmade and detailed, whereas the image on the "Let It Run" single is not. At the center is Brown and Snoop. The country singer's head is much too large for his body. Then there's Snoop smoking the fattest blunt this side of the Mississippi. But what's even odder about that joint is the smoke is coming from the middle of it instead of the end.

Also, there's something else very unusual about Brown's image. His left hand has six fingers. One explanation is that the extra finger is a metaphor for his band's "new chapter" (and why he's considered a great guitarist). Another is that this cover "art" was generated by AI.

We don't know what the cover of "Let It Run" says about the Zac Brown Band's "next chapter." If the music is as authentic as that artwork, it probably won't last very long.
