A brand new batch of artists have been added to the Merle Haggard tribute concert, just days before it takes place in downtown Nashville.
Rodney Crowell, Buddy Miller, Jake Owen, Aaron Lewis, Tanya Tucker and Chris Janson are the latest performers to sign onto the star-studded event. Sing Me Back Home: The Music Of Merle Haggard will take place at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on April 6, exactly one year after the country legend's death.
Willie Nelson, Keith Richards, Loretta Lynn, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, John Mellencamp, Dierks Bentley are among those already confirmed for the show. Alabama, Ronnie Dunn, Jamey Johnson and Merle's son, Ben Haggard.
It's no surprise that the best and brightest stars have signed on to pay tribute to the Hag. His passing left a huge hole in the country landscape. But events like these show just how influential his life and art still are to the country music community.
