Mass Shooting Targeting Cops In Texas Thwarted

It appears the film Minority Report wasn't fiction, after all, it was predictive. Police have arrested a man for allegedly planning a mass shooting attack on police, charging him before he committed the crime.

The FBI is patting themselves on the back after arresting a man they claim was planning a mass shooting attack. According to their limited statement, "FBI Corpus Christi and local partners have thwarted another mass casualty attack!"

The person, known as Seth 'Andrea' Gregori, was allegedly planning to attack a group of police. However, so far, the FBI hasn't released any information as to what it was that led them to believe this was the case.

According to the X post made by the FBI, the person was arrested "on state charges filed by
@NuecesCoDA after he planned an attack on police similar to the 2016 Dallas ambush." They are referring to the attacks that left five police dead.

A Preemptive Arrest Of A Possible Criminal

Until more information is released as to the reasons for the FBI's arrest, there is little that can be gleaned. What it was that led the FBI to believe Gregori was an actual threat to the police is still unclear.

The statement made by the

Corpus Christi Police Department states, "The Federal Bureau of Investigation was notified of Gregori making terroristic threats against Corpus Christi Police Department Officers. The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the threats and secured an arrest warrant for Gregori."

They go on to thank the cooperation of various departments on this preemptive arrest. "The Corpus Christi Police Department greatly appreciates the assistance of our local, state, and federal partners in helping to keep our community safe. Their support is vital to helping us accomplish our mission to reduce crime, the fear of crime, and enhance public safety."

Whether or not the FBI and police department have enough evidence to convict Gregori of a mass shooting will only be clear as the case comes to court. A date has not yet been given for them to appear. Also, the official charges are not currently available either yet.
