On Monday, December 16, a mass shooting took place at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin. Several outlets such as ABC News and NBC News reported at least three people dead and several injured. Madison Police indicated that the shooter was a juvenile who was one of the dead. Reportedly, the shooter is also a student at the school, according to the Wisconsin police chief.

"Multiple injuries have been reported," reads a
social media post made by the Madison Police Department. "This remains an active and ongoing investigation. More information will be released as it is available." Madison police responded to an active shooter report at 10:57 a.m., but no police officer fired their guns.At this time, several outlets confirm at least three dead, including the suspected shooter, and there are seven injured being transported for medical treatment. According to Madison Police, medics were able to arrive at the scene after leaving a training center, three miles from the school.
There is no information regarding the health status or condition of the injured individuals, but according to NBC, injuries "range from minor to life-threatening."

"Today is a sad, sad, day," Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes told reporters. "Not just for Madison, but for our entire country. Every child, every person in that building is a victim and will be a victim forever. These types of trauma don't just go away."
Senator Ron Johnson addressed the shooting on social media. "My sincere condolences and prayers for all the victims of the tragedy at Abundant Life Christian School. I will continue to closely monitor the situation," Johnson
