Police are looking for a pair of suspects after a mass shooting at a nightclub in Texas where multiple partygoers were injured.
The shooting occurred in the early hours of Monday morning at around 3 AM. Police arrived at the Latinas Sports Bar on Hillcroft Avenue after reports of multiple shots fired at the venue, per a report by People.
Authorities say six people were injured in the shooting. Emergency Services took three to the hospital, while the other three arrived in private vehicles. All the victims were male, and three required surgery. Fortunately, police reported zero fatalities, although four victims are in critical condition.
The Houston Police Department posted images of the suspects on X and a statement.
Assistant Chief James Skelton describes the venue as a "true after-hours club," something police are actively targetting in the city. Skelton explains, "We do have some video, which is good." Police are reportedly looking for a black Toyota Camry or Corolla. Both suspects are described as 'Hispanic males.'
Skelton says the incident is isolated, but venues like the Latinas Sports Bar contribute to crime. "At Houston Police Department, we are targeting these locations, and we're going to shut them down. It harbors DWIs and assaults, and this is exactly what we saw here tonight."
The Shooters And Victims At The Texas Nightclub May Have Known Each Other
In an interview with news outlets, A reporter asked Skelton if the shooters and victims knew each other. He explained their relationship is under investigation, but "that's what it looks like from what we have learned." Skelton also elaborated on what an 'after-hours' club is.
"They may have a license of some type," he explains. "However, they are serving alcohol after 2 o'clock in the morning, which is against the law. So, we will conduct an investigation on that also." Skelton also confirmed the location was 'pretty packed' considering the time.
Beyond the vague description and images, police have not revealed the identity of any victims. It's also unclear what events took place before the shooting, although the incident likely took place outside the club.
