When you go to a McDonald's, it's possible that you might encounter a bunch of teenagers munching their meals and hanging out. However, what allegedly happened at the famous fast food eatery in suburban Lynn, Massachusetts, on Friday, September 18, was anything but normal. Per WHDH-TV, some teens got wildly out of hand there days ago, even allegedly physically assaulting someone who works there. The employee is reportedly alright. The disruptive behavior was caught on video.

Per The New York Post, some of those allegedly involved in the rampage were masked. Some had their hoods on their heads. Many were shoving and shouting frantically. A few filmed the scary frenzy with their cell phones.
Times Have Changed
One resident was aghast by the alleged incident. Charlie Stevens, a Lynn resident, shared his disappointment and dismay about the actions of some of today's youth with the TV outlet. Stevens has apparently spent most of his life in the Lynn community and deplores the occasional unruliness.
Another local resident, Phillip Howlant, offered a similar observation. He decried what he interprets as a lack of industriousness, propriety, and respect for adults among young people. In his opinion, things were much different—and better—back in previous decades.
The Lynn Police Department Arrested Four Juveniles
According to a news release on the Lynn Police Department's
Facebook page, four juveniles were arrested on Wednesday, September 23, in connection with the disturbing incident at McDonald's. Each one is facing multiple charges. They include "assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, trespassing, affray, and civil rights violation with injury."The investigation is continuing in case other people were also involved. Because the four individuals arrested are juveniles, their names were not made public.
The Mayor of Lynn Is Concerned
Mayor Jared Nicholson posted a message on
Facebook indicating his feelings about the alleged incident. He wrote in part, "We will continue to address violence when it occurs, hold individuals accountable and, just as importantly, work together to give our young people the support, structure and opportunities they need to succeed."
