Martha Stewart had a lot to say about her ex-husband Andy Stewart during a recent sit-down with Anda Calderon of PEOPLE.

She referred to Andy as a "jerk" before she dove into the details of their highly publicized divorce back in 1990.
Martha Goes Off On 'Jerk' Ex-Husband
Calderon asked Stewart if she had heard back from Andy after she discussed their split in her 2024 Netflix documentary, Martha. To which Stewart replied: "Only legally, to remind me of divorce settlement statements."
She also said that she "never read" the aforementioned divorce settlement statements. "I mean, who cared after two years of arguing about a settlement? I still haven't read it. He's a jerk," she said of Andy.
As Martha got deeper into the details of her and Andy's separation, the homemaking legend said that it was him who pushed for the split.
"He's the one who wanted the divorce, not I," she said. "He was throwing me away. I was 40 years old, I was gorgeous. I was a desirous woman, but he was treating me like a castaway."
Martha also admitted that she and Andy used to treat each other "really badly." However, she says that it was Andy who began to treat her badly initially. That ultimately led to infidelity on the part of both of them.
However, Martha says that the difference is that she didn't go "running off with people," as Andy did.
"I always said I was a swan and like all swans, they are monogamous. And I thought monogamy was admirable. I did. I thought it was admirable. But it turned out that it didn't save a marriage," she said.
In her 2024 documentary, Martha detailed her infidelity. And how she met a "very handsome guy" while visiting Italy. Whom she ultimately ended up kissing.
"I met this very handsome guy," she said in the documentary (via Page Six). "He didn't know I was married ... He was emotional, I was emotional. It's just because it was an emotional place. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced."
At the time of writing, Andy has not responded to Martha's comments.
