Martha Stewart is opening up about her mishap last year at a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. An NBA star accidentally broke her toe during the game a year ago.

Fortunately, Stewart doesn't hold any hard feelings against NBA star Jalen Brunson. She even recently appeared on Brunson's podcast, The Roommate Show. Rather than blame Brunson, Stewart blamed herself for the incident. She also said that Brunson immediately apologized to her afterwards. He even sent her a basketball for her grandson.
"You didn't know. It's not your fault, it's my fault for wearing open-toe shoes to a basketball game," said Stewart. "You don't sweat... your arm was cold. You had fallen, and you jumped up really fast. I remember saying to you, 'It's okay.' You had no idea that you had hurt me. I didn't say you hurt me, but I said, 'It's okay'."

"It wasn't okay at all," she also added. Stewart went to the Hospital of Special Surgery (HSS) after the game finished. Her toe was broken. "They've named it the 'Stewart-Brunson fracture,' " she shared. "I have an X-ray, I'm going to leave you a picture of it... it was actually a break, so anyways, it's better now."
Brunson, meanwhile, admitted that he didn't feel too great about the fact that he broke Stewart's toe.
It's safe to say that she won't be wearing open-toe shoes to sporting events anytime soon. After the incident, she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel and talked about the incident.
"See those open-toe shoes? Never, ever wear open-toe shoes to a game like that when you're sitting on the floor," Stewart said on the show. "That's why I'm wearing open-toe shoes [now], because that's the only kind of shoes I can wear now."
But she hasn't lost her sense of humor it would appear.
"I knew it was broken immediately. And he sat on my lap, comes crashing down...." she continued, "All I got out of it was a signed basketball for my grandchild."
