Imagine a crossover with two great Yellowstone spinoffs, Marshals and Dutton Ranch. Well, Luke Grimes beat you to it. The actor, who now reprises his role as Kayce Dutton on Marshals, has a notion that just might work. He recently shared with TV Insider what his hunch for a blockbuster crossover might look like between these two shows. In fact, another star from the ever-evolving Taylor Sheridan franchise seems to agree.

Grimes said, "It's not out of the question that we might have some sort of crossover at some point. Beth's basically Kayce's only living family member other than Tate. It would make sense that down the line we'd at least talk."
He also stated, "[Kelly and I have] texted about it back and forth a lot, talked about how it'd be fun and necessary for our story arcs, however they're going to end."
'Marshals' Returns for Season 2 in October
Viewers can expect to see the next season of Marshals beginning on CBS on Sunday, October 4. The cliffhanger from last season placed Kayce's son, Tate, in jeopardy. He was evidently snatched in a kidnapping by a rival rancher. Then there has also been speculation about pairing Kayce with a new romantic interest at some point. His wife, Monica, died, leaving him and Tate to make a life for themselves.
Kelly Reilly Has Thoughts About Linking the Two Series
Reilly, who plays feisty Beth Dutton, has her own notions about how a potential crossover could be managed. "I think Beth misses her brother, so I would love that to happen. And we were all very close. Wes Bentley, who played Jamie, Kelsey {Asbille, the actress who was Monica]. We were a family, and we miss them very much. So the more we can get back in, that's what we're fighting for, Cole [Hauser} and I. Where we get our wishes, we would love to have as many back in our world."
The actress guesses that Beth would want to make sure that Kayce is alright after his wife's tragic death. That plot device could put them in plausible proximity in a crossover episode or two. Reilly shared, "I would absolutely imagine that there'll be some checking in on her brother, and we just didn't see it this year."
