Album Premiere: Market Junction Shares Stories of Love and Consequences on 'Burning Bridges'

Houston, Texas-based band Market Junction calls their new album Burning Bridges (out August 7) their "tribulation record." The 10-track album was born out of trials and triumphs, stops and starts and major life changes. The result is a sweeping soundtrack to heartaches and starting over.

Bandmember Matt Parrish says Burning Bridges tells the story of learning about love for the first time.

"This record is the kind of sad country music they don't play on the radio anymore — with an updated sound," Parrish tells Wide Open Country. "This group of songs tells one story, really: it's that of a young man learning about love and its consequences.  Its subject matter and song order are intentional and keep the flow of the narrative. Sometimes the heartbreak spurs the traveling and other times the traveling is the cause of the heartbreak.  Either way, this record will break your heart and have you reaching for the keys."
