Decluttering guru Marie Kondo has been the queen of minimalist organization for years, but she recently came back in the spotlight with her new Netflix show, Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. The Netflix series lets you see Kondo teaching families her famous konmari method first hand, and it's strangely addicting watching people fix their messy houses (and lives because there's definitely tears involved).

Her method outlined in her 2012 #1 New York Times bestseller, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, leads you through her step by step process of eliminating clutter that doesn't spark joy in your life. After I binged the entire show one weekend, I attempted to declutter my own life and it's way harder than you think. While I don't think I'll be folding socks the KonMari way, she has some incredibly helpful storage solutions that will help your home feel so much more efficient.
1. Drawer Organizers
As someone who honestly just shoves all of my underwear and socks in one drawer, these drawer organizers are so helpful. If you fold the way Kondo teaches, you're able to see everything in the drawer instead of having to dig around every morning. The individual dividers make it super easy to keep organized on a daily basis.

2. Bathroom Drawer Organizers
If you're going to organize your dresser drawers, make sure to hit your bathroom as well. It's a room you're in every day, and it's so easy to want to shove things in drawers to keep the counters clean (resist!). These clear boxes are super chic and perfect to keep everything in your bathroom organized. From storing your toothbrush and toothpaste to your makeup or skin care products, you can use these in multiple drawers to give everything its own place.

3. Decorative Boxes
For sentimental items like jewelry, photos or other accessories, Kondo recommends using pretty boxes for storage that spark visual joy. You can store them out in the open to add a nice touch to your home decor and ensure the safekeeping of your beloved items. Putting these items in something more than a typical storage box you are showing gratitude for your things which is much more respectful than just shoving it in a drawer.

4. Shoe Rack
Shoes are one of the things that are hardest to store. You just want to come home after work and kick off your shoes to unwind. By the end of the week, there's a huge pile sitting by the door. (Or is that just me?) If you have lots of shoes you don't want to part with; Kondo recommends finding a way to display them as part of your space. This stylish wooden shoe rack gives you the opportunity to showcase your favorite shoes in your bedroom as well as use the top of it is a table for a candle (also recommended to create ambiance in your space) or some books.

5. Storage Baskets
One of the easiest ways to hide things you don't need to see every day are by putting them in these nice storage baskets. These are perfect to put on your shelves or bookcases to hide games, extra books or photo albums. Everything is easily within reach but hidden from view since you aren't using them every day.
If you want to hide items that you do use every day, you can switch these out for a pretty clear option so that you can easily see what's inside.
