Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd Get Engaged

Big news for two of country music's most exciting new voices. Maren Morris announced on Twitter that she and Ryan Hurd are engaged.

In a one-word post, Morris shared a collage of three pictures showing off the ring and the happy couple. One picture shows her and Hurd kneeling in a parking lot. In another, her newly ring-clad hand rests on her leg. And in a third, she and Hurd embrace.

The simple post just reads, "Yes" with a diamond ring emoji.

The 27-year-old Morris broke through in a big way in the past year when her debut album, Hero, took her all the way to the Grammy stage, where she won the "Best Country Solo Performance" Grammy for "My Church." She also earned a Best New Artist nomination.

Hurd is also bracing for a breakthrough year. The 32-year-old songwriter just sent his first single "Love In A Bar" to country radio. He released several songs over the past year before putting them all out as an EP. Similar to Morris, Hurd signed with Sony Music Nashville.

Both artists experience some success as writers before taking their own songs to the big stage. Morris got her start in Texas, where she released three independent albums over 10 years before eventually moving to Nashville.

Hurd, on the other hand, came from Michigan. The pair met in 2013, shortly after Morris moved to town. She and Hurd had a co-write scheduled by their separate publishing companies. In that write, they wrote "Last Turn Home," which eventually ended up on a Tim McGraw album.

The pair continued to meet and write, eventually taking their relationship to the next level in 2015. When Morris went on her Hero tour, she brought Hurd along for a select few dates. They'll reunite this Fall for additional tour dates.

Hurd's new song "Love In A Bar" is an autobiographical tale of his meeting with Morris and the beginning of their romantic relationship.
