What Happened at the Nashville Bar?

As WKRN reports, the man filed the complaint against the Lucky Bastard Saloon and its affiliates on Tuesday, Oct. 6, in Davidson County Circuit Court.

According to the suit, the man and his family came to Music City to celebrate his father's 60th birthday. He visited the Lucky Bastard Saloon early Sunday morning, Oct. 5, 2025.

While he was there, the man climbed onto a tabletop to dance with other patrons. The suit alleges he was given no warning before a bouncer put him into a "bear hug." The bouncer then tossed him onto the sidewalk outside, knocking him unconscious.

The man was taken to the TriStar Centennial Medical Center for serious nose injuries. Hours later, when he went to his father's birthday brunch, he collapsed. He was eventually diagnosed with a concussion.

This Is the Second Lawsuit Against Lucky Bastard Saloon

The lawsuit says the man's mental health has taken a toll because of the incident. It also claims he might need surgery to correct ongoing issues with his septum.

The complaint also alleged that the security guards at the Lucky Bastard Saloon lacked the registration cards or training required under Tennessee law.

Per the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, bouncers who work in an establishment where alcoholic beverages are served must complete CPR, first-aid, de-escalation, and safe restraint training within 15 days of employment. They must also complete the training each time they renew their registration.

The legislation, known as Dallas' Law, went into effect in 2023. It is named for Dallas Barrett, a 22-year-old who was killed at Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row after security guards held him down.

This is the second lawsuit stemming from a bouncer-related incident at the Lucky Bastard Saloon in less than five years. The previous complaint was resolved with an unspecified settlement with the plaintiff.
