"There's a restaurant called Mandina's, it has been there forever. It's on Canal Street. Not really in the downtown area, but if you travel away from downtown about eight to ten minutes, you'll see it. And I love their po' boys. They make them on French bread. They usually butter the French bread. I like the fried oyster po' boys. And, you want to request them dressed, which is basically everything on it: lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, pickles, and all that stuff. So I love those...."
A Visit to Mandina's Restaurant is a Meal to Remember
Known as New Orleans' best Italian and seafood restaurant, Mandina's has been serving up daily specials for over 80 years. If you are in the mood for seafood, Mandina's has it all, whether you are looking for fried catfish, seafood gumbo, or shrimp po' boys.
The restaurant even serves up classics such as turtle soup, catfish Meuniere or almandine, and shrimp salad. If you can't make up your mind order the seafood platter which comes with Fried Fish, Fried Shrimp, Fried Oysters, and Crab Ball with Fries.
