73-Year-Old Man Punches Bear in the Face to Save His Dog

This guy proved he isn't afraid of anything, even a bear.

If you live in the country, there's always a chance that you could have some scary animal encounters. Being prepared for anything is essential, but the man in this video might have taken that mindset to a whole new level.

When Carl Moore heard his dog Lacey whimpering outside his home in the Sacramento foothills, he wasn't afraid to investigate. When he found a five-foot bear threatening his beloved dog, Moore snapped into action. The 73-year-old ex-Marine charged toward the bear and punched him right in the face.

While Moore's situation and reaction seems like a country man's tall tale, the unbelievable story was confirmed by a friend who witnessed the encounter.

"I ain't run from nothing; I never have in my whole life, and I ain't going to start now," Moore told CBS 13.

While I'm not sure that I would advertise this approach to all country men who may encounter a bear, Moore's fearless spirit is something to be admired.
