The most chill man in all of Philadelphia has sparked an investigation after a viral video showed him hitching a ride outside of a moving train.

The possible Jimmy Buffett fan, who was sporting one earphone and rocking an open Hawaiian shirt, was spotted hanging on the moving L train. In the widely shared footage, as passengers inside gawked, the nonplussed man seemed to enjoy the air running through his hair. At one point in the video (set to the old-school Spider-Man cartoon theme), the man (looking a bit like a Parrot Head Peter Parker) shot onlookers the "rock on" hand gesture. Otherwise, he simply hung on, unfazed, while going through a tunnel and arriving outside.
"Only in Philly," the caption over the footage reads.
It's unclear just when this went down. However, the footage began circulating on Sept. 15, per the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) spokesperson Andrew Busch.
Busch told local station NBC10 that police and SEPTA have launched an investigation into the man's identity. He added that no injuries were reported stemming from the video.
Of course, the comments section to the Instagram post featuring the chill Hawaiian shirt-wearing man putting his life at risk was filled with impressed onlookers.
"Something is seriously wrong with this city. I love it ????," one top comment read. "I've walked through the tunnels but never hitched a ride?," another Philadelphia local added. "Subway Surfers in Philly ?," a third onlooker chimed in. "In NY this is a normal thing," a killjoy NYC resident bragged.
Meanwhile, another gawker thought the man was channeling a 1980's icon over Spider-Man.
"Marty McFly, from Back to the Future would approve ?," they joked.

Philadelphia residents also gave more reasonable reactions to the footage to local outlet WPVI.
"Never seen nothing like that; that's madness. Complete madness," Germantown's Edquardo Chinnell told the outlet. "You are dancing on a thin line of life and death, because anything could happen," Marcus Hook's Cody Langley agreed.
"I don't understand what makes people want to do something this dangerous," SEPTA Police Capt. Marc Pasquarella added.
Meanwhile, the mysterious Hawaiian shirt-wearing man is still at large. We here at Wide Open Country like to think he's battling Doctor Octopus (while listening to "Cheeseburger in Paradise") at this very moment.
