Officers arrived at the scene outside the Aquarium of Niagara following a medical call, according to a news release from the
New York State Park Police. They discovered the man, whose identity remains undisclosed, at the site. Investigators determined he had driven a 2008 Toyota Tundra through a fence near Depot Avenue by the Whirlpool Bridge, sending the vehicle into the gorge.Remarkably, the driver managed to exit the truck and climb out of the gorge on his own. Emergency responders provided immediate medical treatment before transporting him to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo.
