An Austrian man has been charged in connection with a terror plot linked to a 2024 Taylor Swift concert. The event took place in Vienna. Authorities identified the 21-year-old suspect as "Brean A." Prosecutors accuse him of belonging to a terrorist organisation, making explosives and attempting to purchase weapons illegally.

All three charges were announced on Monday, Feb. 16. The suspect faces up to 20 years in jail if found guilty. According to the BBC, "he is also said to have been disseminating propaganda for the jihadist group Islamic State."
Three people were arrested for the planned attack in 2024. Beran A is the main suspect.
"Last year, a 16-year-old Syrian national, identified as Mohamed A, was given an 18-month suspended sentence by a court in Germany over the attack. He avoided prison under juvenile criminal law," the BBC reported. "According to the indictment, he had received online instructions and worked to make a shrapnel bomb using the explosive triacetone triperoxide (TATP). The type of shrapnel bomb was "specific to IS attacks.""
Beran A reportedly sought out advice from other Islamic State members in how best to carry out the plotted attack.
Women Admits To Selling Fake Taylor Swift Tickets
It's never a dull day when you're one of the most famous people in the world. In other Taylor Swift news, Amy Rees, 38, has pleaded guilty to selling fake tickets to Swift's Eras Tour.
"Amy Rees, 38, of Nantymoel, Bridgend appeared at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Monday accused of fraud against 12 people, adding up to more than £2,800," the BBC reported. "...Rees spoke only to confirm her name, age and address and then repeated "guilty" after each of the 12 charges were put to her."
The ticketing scam came in the same year as the terror plot (2024). She played at the Cardiff Principality Stadium in June that year.
The court granted Rees unconditional bail, setting a provisional sentencing date for March 10.
With so much external drama surrounding her tour, you couldn't blame Taylor Swift is she chose not to get back out on the road any time soon.
