Man Charged With Murder After Allegedly Staging Girlfriend's Murder Scene: 'Keep Fighting'

A 30-year-old Florida Man, Saun Rainge Jr., was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the 2024 killing of his then-girlfriend and mother of their children, Porshe Streeter. Rainge claimed at the time that Streeter was killed during a home invasion. However, police now claim that he orchestrated the killing.

According to an affidavit obtained by PEOPLE, Saun Rainge Jr. called 911 on January 13, 2024, and reported that his girlfriend, Porshe Streeter, had been shot. Streeter had been sleeping with their three children when she was shot. Upon arrival, officers found Streeter dead in her bedroom, with Rainge having suffered a gunshot wound to his arm. Rainge claimed at the time that he had just spoken to Streeter, directing the officers to her lifeless body.

The document reports that Rainge claimed he was followed by the shooter and held at gunpoint. Once inside, the gunman shot Streeter when she attempted to grab her phone, according to Rainge. Rainge said he attempted to seek neighbors for help. However, he claimed that he stayed to tend to Streeter on his son's request. He said that he had been telling Streeter to "keep fighting."

Story Crumbles

An investigator, however, was not convinced of Rainge's story. The affidavit details that Streeter's wounds had dried blood around them. Moreover, a medical examiner's report revealed that Streeter's body was mildly decomposed. This suggested that Streeter had died way before authorities arrived at the scene. Security footage and witness testimony further enforces this idea, indicating that Streeter died two hours before Rainge placed the 911 call.

Moreover, it was revealed through Rainge's and Streeter's text messages that Rainge was not supposed to have access to the residence at the time of the shooting.

Further evidence eventually led to the arrest of both Saun Rainge Jr. and Benjamin Garmon. It is alleged that Garmon fatally shot Streeter, instructed by Rainge. Rainge would then attempt to cover his tracks by claiming that the incident stemmed from a home invasion, police claim.

"Rainge's story didn't right true for our homicide detectives, who have worked tirelessly on this case for more than a year to secure justice for Porshe," the Orange County Sheriff's Office

As a result, both Saun Raing Jr. and Benjamin Garmon were charged with first-degree murder in connection with Porshe Streeter's shooting.
