Yeah, I know, that is an absolutely insane move for anyone to make. First of all, bear-spraying another human being in general is crazy. But bear spraying a SWAT Officer? Yup, certifiably insane. Let's hear exactly what happened according to 9News.

Man Attacks SWAT Officers With Bear Spray
The whole situation took place in Commerce City, Colorado. Which I will say, makes a little bit more sense. At least in regards to the bear spray being used as a weapon. Apparently, the officers were there in the first place because Stanislav Simonov shot his neighbor with a pellet gun.
Stanislov Simonov is a 39-year-old man, and his arrest happened on April 14th. He was arrested on suspicion of: First-degree assault, and 5 counts of second-degree assault on a peace officer.
The Build-Up
At some point around 6 pm on April 12th, the Police of Commerce City responded to a shots-fired call. The caller said he was shot in the back of the head while doing backyard work.
After the Police responded to the scene, they took to social media. While online, one of the officers stated, "That neighbor is frankly lucky to be alive."
So naturally, the cops arrived on the scene, most likely on high alert. Later, it was discovered that it was the result of an unprovoked attack. The man had been shot with an air rifle pellet. At the hospital later that day, the man had to undergo surgery. That is according to the affidavit.
After an investigation, Simonov was pinpointed as a suspect in the shooting.
It Does Not Go Well
On April 14th, officers submitted a search warrant for the residence that Simonov was staying at. Simonov was allegedly the only resident who refused to come out. He lived inside a back shed of the house.
Since he didn't come out, officers went in. They breached the door with a bearcat. Once they breached the shed, Simonov resisted. He allegedly sprayed several with 'Bear-mace'. However, according to the police spokesperson, none of the officers required medical attention.
About two hours after the ordeal started, it was over, and the officers brought Simonov out of the house.
