Conservative activist Charlie Kirk, the co-founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated on September 10, 2025. It happened while he was at an outdoor speaking engagement in Utah. He was 31 years old, a husband and father. The reverberations of Charlie Kirk's murder have continued across the political landscape, as have the controversies surrounding his views. Perhaps that is what prompted a man to publicly and conspicuously mock his assassination at a Turning Point USA event in Texas on June 5 hosted by his widow, Erika Kirk, according to the New York Post. Making the situation even more inflammatory were crowds reportedly chanting, "He [Charlie Kirk] deserved to die." The man impersonating him was arrested.

What the Man Allegedly Did
The man was apparently wearing a papier mache head designed to look like Charlie Kirk. He fell on the floor as if to mimic Kirk's murder. Per the outlet, someone with a megaphone was addressing the throng of attendees saying, "You are protecting pedophiles. You are protecting Nazis." Other disruptors were allegedly yelling, "Deserved to die!"
Erika Kirk Was Interrupted by a Heckler
Kirk, 37, was married to Charlie Kirk from 2021 to his death in 2025. She was heckled by a woman during the conference. .The person was allegedly shouting, "Erika Kirk protects pedophiles! Erika Kirk protects pedophiles!" She was subsequently removed from the venue.
Kirk, who had been making a speech when the heckler interrupted, answered the woman. She said, "It's important to remember that happiness comes and goes — and I pray that you find it."
Kirk tried to rise above the unsettling incident. She then went on, according to the outlet, "That's an important moment because that just shows duty to faithfulness gives life meaning, and we must pray for our enemies and those that do not feel like their life has meaning. And that's a perfect example of that. A perfect example. You pray for your enemies. You pray for those that persecute you."
