A man has been arrested after shots were fired near Chris Brown's home in LA. As reported by Billboard, officers responded to the scene at around 4pm on Friday, May 1.
A woman had reported a possible shooting. When officers arrived, both parties were interviewed. According to the suspect, the woman had refused to leave the area, which had sparked an argument. He then alleged the woman drove over his foot, leading him to fire shots at her vehicle.
The suspect went on to be arrested. However, luckily, there were no injuries, and the woman didn't need medical treatment. The suspect arrested at the scene was later identified as 35-year-old Markeith Cungious.
He was arrested on suspicion of discharging a weapon, as well as possession of a weapon in connection with an assault with a deadly weapon case. Police were quick to note that Cungious didn't use a traditional gun - his weapon was CO2-actuated.
It wasn't clear whether Chris Brown was home at the time. We also don't know if he has any connections to either of the people involved. Either way, something so dangerous happening so close to his home is quite worrying. Representatives for Brown never responded to requests for comments from Billboard.
Either way, we're glad that no injuries were reported.
