In a bizarre alleged attack, an unidentified man reportedly flung a crib containing trash at an elderly woman, knocking her to the ground. She was simply walking down a street, The frightening, unprovoked incident was captured on video by News 12. Per the New York Post, the 90-year-old woman was out and about "on busy Brighton Beach Avenue near Brighton 5th Street around 9:45 a.m. Monday...." At that time, a person approached her. He allegedly zeroed in on a baby crib that had been left close to a trash bin. This man then proceeded to throw it at the woman for no apparent reason.

The Man Apparently Ran From the Scene
She went down on her side. Trash was dumped all around her. Furthermore, the alleged culprit raced away from the scene. A couple of good-hearted passersby apparently helped the woman. She was reportedly brought to Coney Island Hospital and "is listed in stable condition," per the outlet. The U.S. Sun states that she has a fractured hip from the sidewalk tumble. The assailant's identity and motive are evidently unknown at this time.

As shown in the photo, the man was wearing a blue hoodie and black pants. He also had on white running shoes or sneakers. The hood was pulled up over his head but his face is still visible.
According to the NYPD via the outlet, there has been an alarming increase - 50% - in people repeatedly attacking elderly victims. That is defined as "those who reoffend within 30 days."
Residents are scared and horrified by the violence reportedly perpetrated in innocent individuals. Per the Sun, "Yosef Vito, Brighton Beach resident, said: 'It is terrible. It is, definitely. It's all crazy. We have to do something for this. It's unbelievable.'"
