According to a press release issued by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the incident took place at 8:50 p.m. at both Owolo's and Wilson's home located on Mirchmill Point South. Police stated that Owolo was upset after learning that Wilson may have entered his bedroom when he wasn't around. Wilson, after being confronted by Owolo, denied the accusation.
What ensued was a heated confrontation inside the house. The reported confrontation got so out of hand that witnesses present at the time attempted to de-escalate it. However, at one point, shots were fired, and once police arrived at the scene, he was found with multiple gunshot wounds at the top of the home's staircase.
Davis Owolo Jr. fleed the scene alongside his girlfriend on Wednesday night. However, on Thursday, March 6, Owolo turned himself in to the Criminal Warrants Division. He was charged with criminal homicide and is currently being held without bond.
Roommate Killed
This incident comes weeks after a New York City man was charged with the murder of his roommate. According to Law & Crime, 23-year-old Christian Millet admitted to police that he had stabbed 65-year-old Edwin Echevarria after fighting over food. A verbal argument between the two would later turn physical, only to become violent from one moment to another.
Reportedly, Millet told authorities that he first pushed Echevarria into the ground and stomped on his head. Then, he used an ice pick to stab Echevarria 12 times before he gruesomely cut his body into pieces. He would then grab said pieces and stuff them inside a suitcase. Millet would then dump the suitcase at East River. Inside the suitcase was Echevarria's torso which was stored inside a sleeping bag.
The suitcase was found on February 5, and Millet was brought for questioning the very same day. Following the confession of the alleged crime, Christian Millet has been charged with second-degree murder.
