Bodden had previously sent an odd text about her boyfriend only days before, raising suspicions. However, when they went in to check on her, it was already too late. At this point, her boyfriend is being held for the murder, in which he allegedly cut off her head, and put it in a garbage bag.
Craig Allen Nichols Jr., 32 is being held on second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and two counts of contempt of court. His bail is set for $500,000. He was arrested after footage was uncovered of him entering her house, carrying what is suspected to be the garbage bag he put her head in.
The police arrived and conducted an investigation. It revealed a number of weapons wrapped in floor matting. There was also a bag of bloodied clothing, identified as Boddens.
Decapitated Woman Left In A Gory Scene
When the three friends went to call on Bodden, they were met with a horrific sight. As they entered the home, they found her headless body laid out in her home. She had been cut apart, with her head removed from the property in a garbage bag.
Footage from the scene shows Bodden's boyfriend, Craig Allen Nichols Jr., 32, and three friends entering the property. They enter with garbage bags and leave about an hour later. They are all suspected of being involved in the murder of the woman.
However, the other two suspects have only been identified by their initials. They both admitted to going to the apartment with Nichols to use narcotics. They claim that the woman was alive when they left the property.
The horrific incident of this woman being cut up, and having her head removed and placed in a garbage bag has shocked her family and friends. As always, there is a GoFundMe set up for the family. It is to cover the expenses of the funeral.
On the page, the family says, "Heather was a bright spark in this world. Her friends and family loved her quick wit as she was always ready with a joke or snappy comeback. She loved her daughter Lily to the ends of the earth and her mom, Pat, was her best friend in the world. Pat, and Heather's stepdad, Sherman, will be caring for Lily. Any amount you can donate will help ease the financial burden placed on Heather's family. If you aren't able to help monetarily, please consider sharing this on your social media accounts."
So far, they have raised over $7,000.
