Lawrence Taylor was recently admitted to the hospital due to a stomach-related issue. His ailments are not thought to be life-threatening; however, there's no update on when he will be released, per his attorney, who spoke with The California Post.

"He remains under medical observation," Mark Eiglarsh, Lawrence's attorney, said. "And is showing signs of improvement. Lawrence asks that I convey his sincere gratitude to everyone who has been thinking of him and keeping him in their prayers during this challenging time."
Lawrence has dealt with a string of health issues since retiring from the NFL. He has been open regarding both his health and addiction issues in recent years.
The legendary New York Giant's star was recently seen at North Carolina's football facility. He even took a photograph with Bill Belichick. The pair know each other from their time on the Giants, where Belichick was the defensive coordinator.
"Had a great visit at @uncfootball awesome meeting Coach @billbelichick and a LEGEND @lawrencetaylor56 ONE OF THE GREATEST TO EVER PLAY THE GAME!" the caption said when posting the picture to Instagram.
It's also worth noting that Lawrence also participated in the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational in March.
Lawrence Taylor Had a Legendary Career
Lawrence Taylor spent his entire 13-year NFL career with the New York Giants. His is widely viewed as the greatest defensive football player in NFL history.
After being drafted with the 2nd overall pick in 1981, Lawrence went on to create a lasting legacy in New York. He won two Super Bowls with the team in 1986 and 1990. That success, coupled with a long career at the top of the sport, led to his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999.
Lawrence played in 184 regular-season games. He registered 41 career forced fumbles, 9 interceptions, and a total of 142 sacks. His best season for getting to the opposing quarterback came in 1986. He averaged 20.5 sacks for the regular season.
The star defender also suited up for 15 postseason games in his career, averaging 8.5 sacks during those games.
Lawrence's fans will undoubtedly hope he makes a full recovery and can be released from the hospital in the near future.
