Major new details have emerged about the death of pro wrestler Andy Williams. Williams, known as The Butcher, died on Saturday after a match.

He reportedly collapsed during the event. He later passed away at 48 while wrestling at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale, Pennsylvania. "A male wrestler was injured during a match - hit his head on a ringpost," an emergency operator said during the 911 call.
Sadly, the Butcher could not be saved. Following the death of the pro wrestler, his company released a statement about him and the incident.
"Andy collapsed at the end of his match this evening," Enjoy Wrestling wrote on X. "Our doctors on staff tended to him immediately, administering CPR until the ambulance arrived. We sent everyone home and are at the hospital now waiting for more information. Thanks to everyone who helped and has reached out."
Pro Wrestler Dies
The company also later posted, "Butcher Forever."
Following the death of the pro wrestler, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that he had passed. Williams was a mainstay in AEW and was also the guitarist for Every Time I Die. Following his death, AEW released a statement about his legacy.
"All Elite Wrestling is saddened to learn of the passing of Andy Williams, aka The Butcher," the statement read. "A trailblazing musician with ETID and Atomic Rule, Williams made a successful transition into the world of professional wrestling and as incredibly respected by his peers both in and out of the ring. Our condolences go out to Williams' family, friends and fans."
Tributes flooded in following his passing.
"Last night, we asked our readers to pray for Andy," Book Pro Wrestlers Steve Stasiak wrote. "This morning, we ask you to direct those prayers toward his family, The Blade, his friends, his brothers in music and wrestling, and everyone whose life he touched."
