For the first time, Maddie and Tae will step into the spotlight as headliners for their first national tour.
The duo's Start Here Tour features 12 dates spreading across southern states and up the East Coast. Maddie and Tae have been serving as the opening act for Dierks Bentley's massive 2015 Sounds of Summer Tour, which has been hitting arenas across the country.
The girls say their own dates, which will be in smaller-capacity venues, will give them the chance to feel more connected to their fans.
"Arenas and amphitheaters are always fun," Maddie Marlow told the Boot, "but the clubs and smaller venues are very intimate. Club Rodeo is one of our favorite places, in San Jose, California. It's very small and intimate, but it's so much fun because you can interact with the fans."
One of the best parts about their upcoming string of shows is the opportunity for the girls to visit their old hometowns and families.
"We are so excited," Marlow said. "We're actually going to our old stomping grounds: We're going to Oklahoma, we're going to Houston, Texas ... so [Tae's] family gets to go, my family gets to go."
The tour will support the release of the duo's debut album, Start Here, which is set for release Aug. 28.
