Luke Grimes Thinks This Country Star Would Make a "Really Good Bad Guy" on 'Marshals'

Luke Grimes could have been a casting director! The singer and star of the Yellowstone spinoff Marshals advocated for Riley Green as a possible guest star on the series. Green had a role in a few episodes last season. He fared very well as an actor and did some singing on the show, too. Now Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton on the Montana-based drama, has another idea for a country music icon who could step into an acting slot. With season 2 about to begin on Sunday, October 4, let's see if Luke Grimes' proposal comes true sometime in the future.

Who Does Grimes Have in Mind?

Grimes knows exactly who might be a great temporary addition to the Marshals cast. He shared his pick with Woman's World recently. "I always said I thought Chris Stapleton would play a really good bad guy. If he reads or hears this, we'd love for you to come on the show."

He also mentioned to the outlet that another superstar in the country genre has thoughts of acting. Ella Langley, whose monster track Choosin' Texas has soared on the charts and with listeners, seems to have acting chops, going by her videos. In fact, Grimes appears in the video for that particular song.

He Is Also a Fan of Ella Langley

Grimes is clearly in Ella Langley's corner. He said, "I just love that song so much. I had no idea that it was going to become the biggest song of all time. But I'm so happy for her. She's great. She's a real artist. All of the success that she's having is because of the fact that she is a real artist, and she puts so much of her heart and soul into her work, and I'm just a huge fan of hers."

Sounds like she has the makings of an actress! According to the outlet, "As for an Ella Langley Marshals cameo? Grimes is open!"

The Actor Still Loves Playing Kayce

Even after many years, Luke Grimes is still enthralled to be portraying that multi-faceted, intense character he originated on Yellowstone. "Playing Kayce has been the greatest ride of my life, and I just owe him so much about who I am now and the things that have happened to me and where I'm at in my career. So I'll play him as long as they want me to."
