Luke Combs tells it like it is. Like he sees it. That is part of why fans gravitate to the "Ain't No Love in Oklahoma" singer." He's direct and pulls no punches. So when Combs talked frankly about his opinion of weight loss drugs on the Popcast podcast of The New York Times, he was undoubtedly heard. Evidently, the 35-year-old singer is not a fan of those medications. At least not for himself.

Combs Admits That His Weight Has Been a Long-Standing Problem
For Luke Combs, as it is for many people, weight has been a hard problem to successfully address. "I have always struggled with my weight," he shared. "It bugs me a lot that I can't figure it out. I don't want my life to be this life of like, ease and like, everything's easy. I like when stuff's hard."
So he welcomes challenges. But shedding the pounds by taking weight loss drugs is not the method he wants to use. "As dumb as that sounds, that stuff scares me more than I think that I would enjoy the benefits of," Combs said on the podcast.
He Knows How He Plans To Tackle the Issue
Slimming down is a goal of Combs' but it looks like he will do it the traditional way. He knows it won't be a cinch. Skip the shortcuts. "No matter how hard I try, it's just been like this impossible nut to crack for me. And I will do it, but I'm not going to do it the short way. And not that there's anything wrong with that. That's personal for you. I need to win, like, I need to beat myself."
Combs Wants To Be Healthy for His Young Family
The singer and his wife, Nicole, have three children. In fact, they just added a new member of the family this month. Their trio of little boys and Nicole are a prime reason that Luke Combs wants to stay fit to share the future with them for years to come.
Four years ago, he expressed that sentiment on Apple Music 1 with Zane Lowe. This having a kid thing has really messed up my head on this thing in the best way. (He and Nicole had their first child, Tex Lawrence, at that time.) I want to be around, dude. Do you know what I mean?"
