In a clip of the song Combs shared ahead of the announcement, it seems the Grand Ole Opry member is leaning into his rock influences with the uptempo track.
"'Cause I'm back in the saddle like some old cowboy, who dug his way out of his grave / Pulled up his boots, put his pistol on his hip ... Don't worry where I've been, I'm back in the saddle again," he sings in the clip.

Luke Combs' Big Plans For Country Music
The fact that Combs' new song has a bit of a rock edge is not surprising. Combs has been hinting that he has big plans in country music, plans to expand the genre.
"The next frontier is expanding my limits to embrace people who want to destigmatize country music," Combs tells The Tennessean. "It's a fresh, different challenge."
It's a challenge he wouldn't have even considered if not for the success of "Fast Car," his cover of Tracy Chapman's 1988 hit.
"I don't think any of this is possible without Tracy's stamp of approval," Combs says. It is also because of Chapman's encouragement, and her willingness to perform "Fast Car" with him that inspires Combs now.
"[She] has created the opportunity to showcase how my work can be loved and appreciated by people who may have thought they could never love my music," he explains.
Combs is taking a lot of time off this year to focus on being a father. But in 2026, the North Carolina native is planning on both touring and making a lot more music.
"I got a big tour coming next year. ... So new record coming up soon, new tour coming up. I'm just excited. I'm excited and I'm back," Combs hints, adding that he is also spending time at home.
"I just wanted to be able to talk to you guys again, me to you," he says. "I know I used to do stuff like this a lot, and I miss doing it. Love you guys and see you soon."
