Luke Bryan's Son Sent to ER After Fish Hook Injury

"I at least caught the trout."

Luke Bryan's sons share their dad's love of fishing, but that doesn't mean they're immune to the dangers of the sport. Bryan's wife Caroline recently shared a video of a painful situation their youngest son Tate found himself in when a rogue fishing hook to the knee landed him in the emergency room.

The video is not for the squeamish as Caroline shares a close-up view of the hook stuck just above Tate's knee cap. The 13-year-old doesn't seem phased though, as he simply sits and awaits treatment. Like a true fisherman, the most important thing on Tate's mind is the fact that, despite his mishap with the hook, he still reeled in a trout.

In a humorous moment, Caroline asked her son how he's feeling, and he answers, "I at least caught the trout."

According to Caroline, this isn't the first time this has happened, as he wrote, "Another fish hook ER visit...but he wanted Luke to know that he still caught the fish!"

Bryan commented on the post to share in his son's pride, writing, "At least I caught the trout. Dats my boy."

The singer often shares photos and videos from his fishing outings with his sons. In February, he documented the moment Tate caught his first 10-pound fish, a feat Bryan didn't accomplish until he was an adult.

Bryan shared another fishing photo of Tate, who they often call "Tater Tot" or simply "Tot," for his 13th birthday.

"Happy 13th birthday to my fishing buddy," he wrote. "I love you Tot. You are the sweetest kid on the planet."

Fishing is a hobby that has clearly been passed down through the generations of Bryan's family. Just last week, Bryan shared a photo from a fishing outing with his mom, LeClaire.

Bryan is currently off the road, but he will return to Las Vegas, Nevada for his residency at The Theatre at Resorts World on Dec. 29.
