This comes after a breakout season for Tennessee's Battle Ground Academy. ESPN rankings place him as a three-star pocket passer, listing him as standing at six feet tall and at 205 pounds.
He explained that he first received the offer from Georgia last week and accepted it during the same phone call. For Bryan, this was an easy decision, and it's one he wanted. After all, he's a longtime fan of the team.
Although he was raised in Tennessee, his dad is from Georgia originally. "This means a lot to me just because I've been a Georgia fan my whole life," he explained. The prospective Bulldog is "considered one of the top high school quarterbacks in the region", so it's no wonder they threw him the offer!
The Quarterback Recently Injured His Collarbone
This comes amid a pretty unfortunate injury that the quarterback sustained. We reported on it when it happened - he suffered a broken collarbone during a recent game.
The injury happened during a game against Pope John Paul II - he landed on his right shoulder after being sacked and broke his collarbone. Following his injury, the quarterback was seen on the sidelines with his arm in a sling.
After the game, he took to social media to thank people for their concerns. "Broke my collar bone last night," he announced. He thanked people for their "thoughts and prayers", adding, "We will be back".
His parents were also quick to voice their support for their son following his injury, as we also reported. As he went into surgery for his collarbone injury, his parents took to social media.
His mom, Caroline, wrote, "Not the best day for Bo, or our family, but he'll be back!!!!" she announced. She also posted a picture of the quarterback pulling a funny face despite the circumstances. "Dang collarbone... and of course Luke can't take a serious picture!"
Luke Bryan also posted a video online of the family's journey to the hospital for Bo's surgery. "Well, it's us. Going for surgery," he said in the video.
